located in central Alabama
in the Appalachian foothills. Birmingham
is a relatively new city (it was founded
in 1871), and while it is not the state
capital, it is the largest city in
Alabama. A fast fact: The city boasts
more than 500 restaurants – and
over 1,300 churches!

home to the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, the Aviation
Hall of Fame, and the Sports Hall of Fame. And,
