Chilliwack is the third-oldest municipality
in British
Columbia, and although it is
100 kilometers (62 miles) east of Vancouver,
it is very much a part of the Greater
Vancouver economic region. Its proximity
to mountains and rivers, and its rich
cultural history, ensures that this
small city will please just about anyone.
The sports-fishing center of the Fraser River,
Chilliwack is also known for its extreme sports,
particularly mountain biking on trails with names
like The Dilemma.
