Federal Way is a community of 83,259,
located in the southwestern corner
of King
County, Washington,
the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area.
It's located about eight miles (13
kilometers) northeast of downtown Tacoma
and 23 miles (37 kilometers) south
of downtown Seattle.
The city began as a logging community
in the late 1880s, and was only incorporated
in 1990.
