Seeking full time and part time Licensed Practical Nurses for day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts at local Medical Institutions. * Must be licensed as a LPN in the District of Coulmbia. * Must be able to succesfully pass a criminal and credit background check.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in collaboration as a member of the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans and provides medical care and performs nursing procedures. The LPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Rules and Regulations of Registered Nurses outlined by the Tennessee Board of Nursing and according to agency operating policies, protocols, and standards. Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and be licensed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing to administer care, working under direction of a licensed physician. Prefer two years of experience in nursing and experience in a residential or school setting serving children.

Purpose Of Job: Nurses are responsible for administering the diet, and providing guidance and treatment to patients. In addition, s/he is to provide excellent customer service while dealing with patients adhering to and maintaining client confidentiality.Medical Duties:Operate professionally, ethically and with integrity according to the highest medical standards and practices.Provide current and potential patients with diet information while adhering to script. At times of uncertainty, refer issue to higher authority for guidanceConduct consultations for new patients (generally up to 10)Monitor and discuss progress with patients ensuring appropriate completion of all documentation (Patient and Diet Sheet Assessments, Blood Work results, etc.) in a timely manner. Refer all medical abnormalities to the attending Physician and SupervisorAdminister injections and ensure proper documentation of injection numbers.Perform venipunctures, urine tests and other vitals as required. Adhere to Company Dress Code as identified in Policies & Procedures.Customer Service:Greet patients in a welcoming and professional mannerRespond to enquires or refer appropriately as requiredEncourage all patients to browse the assortment of products available for sale and promote as much as possible.Promote the diet plan to all prospective patientsFollow up with past patients to obtain an update on progress and invite them to return as required.Other Duties:Assist with Medical Receptionist duties.Complete product and medical supplies inventory, and fax/email appropriately Perform training duties as requiredAssist other clinics with daily operation as requiredMaintain clinic cleanliness and neat appearancePerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and higher managementCompetencies:Appropriate nursing certification and preferably with some applicable working experienceCustomer Service OrientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPleasant and professional manner, in person and over the phoneDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate as an active participant with others in assisting with the delivery of care to patientsINTERMMEDIATE knowledge of Microsoft office and OutlookExceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skillsAbility to work well under pressureEnsure thorough knowledge of all policies and procedures, products and clinic services adhering to all protocolsComplete high quality work in accordance to clinic standardsJob Complexities:Need to project a positive image at all times with patient(s).Required to adjust approach to all types of individuals providing excellent customer service.Must be able to handle difficult situations in a calm mannerMust be able to handle work volume fluctuations
