This position is accountable for provision of therapeutically effective care delivered in compliance with hospital, community and national standards. RNs work closely with a full-scale unit-based interdisciplinary team. This work area places major emphasis on promoting optimum function, service excellence, patient satisfaction, team work and staff development. In conjunction with our management team and your assigned coach, you will be guided through your customized orientation to support your successful transition into the RN role.   UT RN licensure (or license eligible) required. BLS (health care provider) CPR certification required.. Must be flexible to work rotating shifts and weekends, on-call (as needed). One year RN experience or participation in Urban Central Region New Grad Residency Program required. One year orthopedic and med/surg experience is helpful but not required. Candidates must be committed to providing superior patient service and care delivery in a progressive team environment. Communication skills are essential. Applicant must have the ability to transfer and position patients safely. This is a night shift position.  

RN Required1 year of experience requiredRN II is a registered nurse in the PACE (Professional Advancement/Clinical Excellence) Program, with at least one-year current experience in an acute-care setting at time of hire, or who has advanced to an RNII from an RN I level. Leads a team of multi-skilled patient care providers in the delivery of preferred outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic and cost effective care. Identifies patient needs based on professional knowledge and medical plan of care. Establishes individualized outcome measures for each patients care. Delegates interventions based on critical thinking skills and a knowledge of the competencies of each team member. Coordinates care to maximize desirable outcomes, patient satisfaction, and cost effective utilization of available personnel and resources.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia. Minimum of one-year current experience in an acute care setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teaching skills required. Sound conflict management skills and the ability to be fair, unbiased and even-tempered. Ability to function as a role model in a professional leadership position and to maintain a minimum of 12 contact (Continuing Education Units) hours per year through an accredited provider.
