The Nurse Educator is responsible for assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs that enhance performance, promote professional development or otherwise supports the mission and vision of the Department of Nursing (DON).QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.* Masters degree in Nursing, Health Care or Business Administration is preferred.* Three to five years of progressively more responsible job related experience.* Experience in teaching or professional development preferred.* A license as a registered nurse in the District of Columbia is required.* Specialty Certification in nursing staff professional development or in specific clinical specialty must be obtained within one year of hire.
