If you want a career where your knowledge is respected and your voice heard, come to Vanderbilt.We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the following position: Registered Nurse 2 -Critical Care - OBSERVATION UNITUpon graduation and obtaining a degree in Nursing from an NLN or CCNE accredited program and Tennessee state-approved program, this professional applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Furthers professional growth by engaging in 6- 10 hours of learning activities annually. Minimum Requirements: This RN position requires graduation from an approved program of professional nursing (RN) and 12 months of RN experience. One year of critical care/step-down nursing experience is strongly preferred with monitoring experience a plus. BLS, ACLS and current Tennessee RN license are required. Additional Information: This is a full-time position in the OBSERVATION UNIT; 36 hours per week. Shift: 7p-7a with every other weekend requirement. Background screens and education must be approved prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information.
