Florida Physicians Medical Group (FPMG) is seeking candidates for Advance Registered Nurse Practitioners to partner with our Critical Care Specialists in providing Adult Healthcare Services to Intensive Care Patients.
This critical care practice is diverse and includes care to neurologic, medical, surgical specialties, oncology and multiple organ transplant programs. Care is coordinated from the floor with a fully developed Rapid Response Team.Candidates must be able to demonstrate behaviors that meet FPMGs Core values: Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork. As delegated by a supervising physician, an ideal candidate should be proficient in all aspects of ICU care and management, able to perform healthcare tasks efficiently and effectively consistent with patients health and welfare, and have a strong desire to work in a high volume patient setting. Candidate should exemplify exceptional communication skills and have a team oriented work approach.All candidates must be graduates of an accredited school, and have current licensure with the State of Florida. The ideal candidate is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Critical Care Residency trained Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of experience, although work experience for all licensed ARNP applicants will be considered. Experience in performing procedures such as intubation, arterial line and central venous access is preferred, but not required.This position would be part of Florida Physicians Medical Group and located in Florida Hospital Orlando. Formed in 1994, FPMG is a sister organization of Florida Hospital which employs over 200 physicians in 30+ specialties. FPMGs multi-specialty physician organization provides practice consulting and management, billing and coding services. The physician members of this practice hold multiple leadership positions in this >1000 bed hospital, and are highly involved in committee, quality assurance, evidence based practice and risk management.Florida Hospital Orlando recently opened a new 15 story patient tower bringing the total number of beds to over 1100, and over 130 ICU beds at this tertiary care facility. EMR was also implemented in the hospital organization in 2007, and computer order entry will be phased in during 2010-2011.
