Vocational Nursing Instructor San Diego, CAResponsibilities include: Provide instruction to Vocational Nursing classes.Adherence to applicable accreditation commission standards or agencies regulations, the school policies and procedures, and the departments curricula.Monitor student progress, conduct student orientations and advise students throughout the program.Assist with on-going review and development of curricula in the department and make suggestions per policy.Attend orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled.Requirements:License in good standing in the state of California to practice registered nursing. Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational programs/projects for patients, personnel, and the community. Education and Work Experience Preferences: Bachelors Degree in Nursing. A current California Registered Nurse License. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal communication, with persons of various cultural and educational backgrounds. Demonstrated knowledge of case management. Experience in date management. Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively coordinate all aspects of patient care. Ability to be an active, participatory member of the interdisciplinary team. Ability to be available 24 hours/day when scheduled of on-call activities. Full command (verbal and written) of the English language.The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Ability to lift 20-30 lbs. Able to walk between the Mark Goodson Building and the Main Campus.
