POSITION SUMMARY:The Workers Compensation Manager effectively manages the workers compensation and injury prevention program which minimizes Harrisons costs, assures the provision of appropriate benefits, and limits disruptions to daily operations of the organization due to time loss, while ensuring compliance with all associated state and federal laws and regulations.Coordinates with departmental leadership, outside counsel and TPA in claims administration and claims review. Coordinates with external representatives in settlement of claims, and appropriately updates Director, as to complex, unique, or expensive claims. Works with the Safety Committee and Employee Health to create a safe work environment for all employees; trains supervisors and managers to effectively respond to injuries and encourages prevention strategies in a manner that supports the overall goal of reducing the frequency and severity of workers claims.
