Nurse Manager vacancy with full-service hospital in Spartanburg, SC. The Nurse Manager will oversee a 15 bed psychiatric program in a full-service medical center. Included in these responsibilities are: 1) supervision and direction of the nursing staff, the development and maintenance of a high-quality treatment program; 2) the development and implementation of a comprehensive community relations program; and 3) strategic planning, program administration, and development.Educational requirements are a BSN with an MSN preferred. Qualified candidates must have 3 to 5 years of acute care inpatient psych management experience in a hospital setting.

Pediatric experience requiredKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assessment: Collects patient data and completes required forms with appropriate responses according to unit standards; identifies patients overt problems/needs and set priorities.- Planning Care: Follows patient care plan developed by RN.- Implementing/Managing Care: Care provided conforms to accepted practice standards; provides correct treatments/procedures and other care as prescribed and according to patient care standards; demonstrates understanding of age-related characteristics and needs of patients served; explains nursing procedures in appropriate forms; provides discharge teaching; identifies emergency situations and takes appropriate action; understands and demonstrates respect for patient rights and identifies mechanisms for management of ethical issues in patient care.- Evaluation: Records patient care delivered as planned and any variation.- Leadership: Using nursing process, delegates nursing care to appropriate personnel; integrates cost effective measures into nursing practice; recognizes unit problems and takes responsibility for documenting same; demonstrates active participation in QI processes; complies with hospital expectations to meet staffing demands based on patient care needs; complies with policies addressing safe working conditions; monitors unsafe working conditions and recognizes inappropriate patient care management and refers to immediate supervisor.Requirements:Education: graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing Experience: Pediatric experience required & 4 or more years experience preferred Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: LPN with current South Carolina license Special Training: must possess knowledge and skills necessary to treat patientsAt Palmetto Health we believe everyone should love the job they´re in. The Nurse Practitioner applies advanced knowledge/clinical skills necessary to assess/manage the healthcare of patients.1 position available:Full-time AM shift at Medical Center of Easley KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs health histories, physical exams, patient teaching and discharge planning. Orders, interprets and follows up on lab tests and results. Performs selected procedures and documents care orally and in writing. Initiates emergency measures as indicated. Recognizes abnormalities that justify immediate referral for intervention by others. * Initiates, evaluates, reviews and changes orders for selected medications and diagnostic studies/ treatments within attending physician approved protocols. * Assesses, initiates and coordinates patient care on a daily basis under the supervision of the attending physician. * Requests consultations form all services as needed in collaboration with attending physician and/or established protocols * Acts as a liaison with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within hospital, providing education, communication and support for healthcare staff, patients and families. Directs patient management in conjunction with physician staff.
