This unique working culture is one of the reasons why a career with us is so rewarding.JOB SUMMARY: Provides quality education based on learning needs to both the clinical and non-clinical staff of CHW Arizona East Valley hospitals and Urgent Care Centers. Works with clinical staff in all phases of educational development in collaboration with management. under the direct supervision of the Director of Education Administration. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates ongoing in-services and other continuing education programs for licensed and unlicensed staff. Supports clinical management team’s competency, compliance and certification goals for all employees.2. Acts as a clinical resource to all staff and managers for clinical policies and procedures, equipment, nursing care issues, and technological advances.3. Participates on education related committees and task forces.4. Utilizes aggregate data, research, and trends when developing education programs. Conducts annual learning needs assessment in collaboration with Clinical Specialists and management team. Implements in-services, classes and programs based on needs assessment.5. Participates in the evaluation process to determine the level of effectiveness of all education programs; submits evaluations from in-services, classes, and programs and ensures they are entered into database.6. In collaboration with Project Manager, coordinates orientation for new employees utilizing a performance-based competency assessment as a baseline for competency evaluation.7. Utilizes the CHW East Valley Performance Based Competency Assessment (PBCA) to validate each employee’s ability to meet the performance expectations.8. Identifies orientee deficiencies with the preceptors and collaborates with employee and employee’s supervisors to develop a corrective action plan.9. Maintains required records, reports and statistics as directed.10. Demonstrates positive attitude and behavior toward Organization and Department(s) and exemplifies excellence at work. Role models Principles of Behavior (CRH) or Golden Thread of Care (MGMC).11. Supports clinical development and process/ project implementations as well as patient/family educations programs.12. Collaborates with data collection and implementation of ongoing Quality Management monitors.13. Participates in professional education in specialty area.14. Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:1. BSN/ BA/ BS required; Masters preferred2. CNS or NP preferred3. Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in either ICU or Emergency for Acute Care.4. Two (2) years teaching experience preferred5. Previous experience with Windows and word processing applications preferred6. Experience with spreadsheet, database and graphic applications preferredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:1. Current AZ RN License2. Current ACLS Provider required.3. Current BLS Provider required4. Specialty certification as CEN or CCRN or HRD/ Staff Development within one year of hire unless MS, CNS or NP or actively enrolled in Master’s program.
