The company is organized in three business groups, Cellular Analysis (hematology, coagulation, and flow cytometry), Chemistry, Automation & Discovery (clinical chemistry & automation, rapid test and life science research tools such as centrifugation, life science automation and capillary electrophoresis), and High Sensitivity Testing (immunoassay & molecular).The Senior Nurse will be directly responsible for the following : Partner with local HR team to :1.Assist in the design and lead operating plan and execution of plan for the fitness center; manage operations, linking activities to Wellness initiatives 2.Champion for Wellness programs providing leadership in furthering these initiatives. 3.Coordinate influenza clinics, hepatitis B vaccinations and serve on site pandemic preparedness team. 4.Manage medical emergencies providing care according to medical directives and procedures for both occupational and non-occupational illness or injury. 5.Align Health Services activities with business needs and goals. 6.Manage Workers Compensation claims; collaborate with the insurance carrier, BCI Risk Management, supervisors and local health care practitioners in managing cases. Participate in claims review to facilitate continuous progress on claims resolution. 7.Partner with HR in the management of employee medical leaves; assist in cases of performance management that may require a medical review. 8.Serve as a conduit of information, shared learnings and best practices from Nurse peers to the Indianapolis site.Partner with Employee Health Services to:Recruit and coordinate emergency response team, scheduling CPR classes, providing periodic training, Desirable Traits and Skills :1.Must be a hands-on individual able to effectively execute day-to-day operations.2.Experience participating in or leading community health activities, in Indiana.3.Proven experiences developing, implementing and improving processes.4.Experience participating in the management of a fitness center and connecting this employee benefit to broader Wellness initiatives.5.Understanding of Beckman Coulters businesses, customers, technology, operations and processes is preferred.6.Leverages broad sources to assess situations and develop plans, but is decisive and easily takes-on a leadership role when appropriate.7.Able to share in the failures and successes of his/her peers.8.Mature and self-assured but must be a team player who will work well with all other functional areas.9.Proven effectiveness in matrixed environment and working under remote supervision.10.Problem solver that takes initiative to improve a situation, identify new opportunities and challenge the status quo, when appropriate.Qualifications:1.Registered nurse, baccalaureate college degree preferred with 4 years occupational health nursing experience.2.Successful track record of managing day to day responsibilities, in addition to leadership of projects and change initiatives.3.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead and influence others.4.Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
