Recommend placement of employees in jobs compatible with their health and safety. Assist Children´s Health Corporation and its entities in regulatory agency compliance. Assist in enhancement and conservation of employee´s health through nursing care. Primary responsibilities will include evaluation of post-offer, pre-employment candidates and management of hospital TB testing/mask fitting program. Responsibilities include interpreting and evaluating employee´s medical and occupational history, subjective complaints, and physical examination results, laboratory values, or other diagnostic screening tests related to the ability to complete requirements of the position into which the newly hired employee is to be placed. May include consultation with Occupational Health MD, Human Resources, and hiring manager with regard to reasonable accommodation of job candidates. Additional responsibilities will include triage of employee incident reporting; interaction with internal hospital departments such as Infection Control, Environmental Services and Human Resources; and observing, recognizing, and assessing employees health status with respect to job tasks and performance. Position will also have light clerical duties from time to time (such as chart filing and data entry at certain times of the year). Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of OSHA, Workers Compensation and ADA. Must understand the relationship between healthcare as a service and healthcare as a business.
