The area has been named one of the fastest growing areas in the country and is located just minutes from the famous Research Triangle Park.*HEC,HJBPosition InformationPosition will work under the general supervision of the Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates´ primary supervising physician, all Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates´ Physician Partners, the Director, Heart Center Quality Services, WakeMed Heart Center and the WakeMed 3B & CTSU Management Teams to deliver competent medical care to an age specific population including adults and geriatric Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates´ patients at WakeMed during the hours of 7A-7P, and weekend hours as designated. This position will provide complete admission and pre-op work-ups, daily rounds in units, discharges and clinical record dictation activities, function as the on-site Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates´ on-call physician liaison to directly receive calls from staff and provide orders to staff to manage routine pre- and post-op surgical and medical care needs, provide orders for transfer or discharge as appropriate, and provide assistance in communicating directly with the Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associate´s on-call physician during emergencies. Position to maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and/or Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed.Experience Requirements :Minimum of NP training through an accredited NP program with specialty training in Cardiac ServicesEducation Requirements :Graduate of an accredited NP programLicensure/Certification Requirements :RN License with NC Board of Nursing; Advanced Practice - Acute Care/ Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner License with NC Board of Nursing; Registration with NC Board of Medical Examiners.Hours of Work : Monday-Friday 0700-1700Weekend Requirements : As NeededCall Requirements : Weekends and Weekdays, Rotating
