In the role of CES, you will provide medical education and support to patients, their families and care givers. The Clinical Education Specialist works in a team approach to facilitate research based, outcome focused patient care. The Education Specialist at Bayfront Medical Center acts as a role model, develops the bedside nurse, fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of research based, cost effective nursing care. Bayfront Medical Center encourages variations in the CNS practice to meet the needs of the diverse units and the global needs of the organization. The CNS is responsible for creating a professional nursing climate within the organization. This position supervises RN, LPN, PCT, Unit Secretary, and CNR. This position reports to Director of the area of specialty and/or the Director of Nursing Education and Development.MSN is required. Must have current Florida RN license and CPR/ACLS training and specialty certification. BCLS/ACLS instructor certification preferred. Must have 4 years clinical experience in specialty. Must have Interpersonal skills, ability to teach the adult learner at all levels, Critical thinking skills, Preceptor/Mentor skills, Leadership skills, Information Technology skills and excellent Customer Service skills.
