In this position, the NP will: *See return Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA),Psoriatic Arthritis(PsA), and selected other patients at q 3 month intervals for disease activity monitoring and Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drug(DMARD) monitoring, with the managing rheumatologist seeing the patient once or twice annually (per managing MD). *See above RA/PsA patients as needed for acute flares/joint injections. *See new consults, or returns for flares of existing dx of Osteoarthritis or Crystalline arthropathy, including Gouty arthropathy( not necessarily followed in Rheum clinic) requiring acute intervention with aspiration and/or intraarticular injection of appropriate joints (initially performed only under supervision, until adequate competency for distinct joints demonstrated). A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Adult Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited physicians assistant program. Have a current MN RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges. Be certified through ANA or eligible for ANA national exam.
