MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Maine is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to serve as a member of the Palliative Care Team, providing consultative and follow-up care upon referral to patients and families. You will practices in collaboration with the Palliative Care Medical Director and will coordinate care and services for patients and families across the continuum of care. This position acts as a resource to staff and families regarding palliative/end of life care, and promotes palliative care within the organization and the larger community. This is a 40-hour per week position, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.Masters degree, Nurse Practitioner with a Maine license, prescriptive ability in the state of Maine with a current DEA certificate required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in palliative care, oncology, and/or hospice. Must have excellent assessment, diagnosis and treatment skills, excellent communication skills and be self directed, motivated, and highly organized.
