The Boston Spine Group is currently seeking an exceptional MA licensed Nurse Practitioner specializing in comprehensive spine care.
Be an integral part of our well-established orthopedic practice committed to providing an extraordinary healing experience to those we serve.The Boston Spine Group is comprised of a dedicated team of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons and physical medicine, rehabilitation and pain management specialists recognized for its abilities to treat and care for the most complex spinal conditions.The individual must be self-directed, personable, and possess the skills necessary to provide a high quality of care in a fast-paced environment. Orthopedic experience preferred but not required for the right candidate. We offer a highly-competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.The primary responsibility will be to assess new patients for potential surgical treatments, to care for post-operative patients, and to care for non-surgical back pain patients.- Perform comprehensive and problem focused H&Ps, - Perform initial evaluations, independently or in conjunction with the physician- Order and evaluate x-rays, MRIs and CTs- Order and prescribe medications - Manage prescription refill requests- Monitor physical and/or occupational therapeutic services- Respond to patient phone calls to facilitate patient care delivery- Educate patients and family on diagnosis, treatment and preventionQualifications:- Completion of Accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program.- Current MA NP license with the ability to be credentialed by The Boston Spine Group.- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.- Current Massachusetts Controlled Substance License II through V.- Current Federal DEA Certificate II through V.- Current Basic Life Support certification.
