The Nurse Practitioner in this full-time position will provide health care services to Hepatology patients to include assessment of physical and psychosocial status, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests, interpretation of data, implementation of therapeutic plans and follow through. This position holds a faculty appointment, at the Instructor level, with the Dartmouth Medical School.RN and ARNP currently (or eligible) licensed in NH required. This is a full-time position with the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the Department of Orthopaedics. At the general direction of the physician staff, this provider functions as a consultant in assessing medical and rehabilitation care needs and providing education for patients and families in need of rehabilitation services, in the inpatient and outpatient settings assists in the coordination of care, medical and rehabilitation management, discharge planning and follow up to improve functional outcome of pediatric and adult patients following traumatic injury or significant illness.This provider needs to be able to work as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team, as well as demonstrate comfort with working independently in advocating for patients and addressing rehabilitation issues. Provision of in-pt and out pt education to clinical teams, patients, families and care providers of general and specific rehabilitation issues, needs and goals is a significant component of this work.Qualifications include a RN licensed and APRN status in NH and/or eligible for ANCC certification. Successful completion of an approved NP program, preferably in family practice. A Master´s degree is required.
