Detailed Position Description If you have over 5 years of experience as an RN, you may qualify for our PTO bridge program. Ask your recruiter for details. This position would be required to float to the ICU, ER, Medical Surgical and Behavioral Health floors. Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health statusEssential duties include: patient documentation; direct patient care/assessment; medication administration; discharge planning, community resource referral and education.Actively participates in the quality improvement process.Involved in learning and self-improvement.Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.Position Requirements Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. At least one year of experience in the role of the registered nurse. Previous experience in patient care in designated area highly desirable.Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers. Education Requirements Graduate of an approved Nursing program (Associate of Arts in Nursing, Diploma program or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing) License/Certification Requirements Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Ohio.Basic Life Support required within one month of employment.
