This person will be responsible for providing nursing care to client employees and/or contractors and visitors to the Health Center.Additional Responsibilities Include: Using nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment and maintain patient flow.Conducting a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests.Providing treatment within scope of practice as defined by the state law.Collaborate with Physician or other Licensed Practitioners to arrange further medical treatment, when needed.Performs occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).Conducts appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures.While working at this large employer site, you will have the ability to get to know your patients, while helping to improve their health status and taking care of their immediate health needs. Requirements Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associates’ degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelors degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred. The CVOR RN provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgement in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Participates in hourly rounding. Observes safety guidelines and safework practices. May at times be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).
