Description Manages staff; interviews, hires and trains; evaluates employee performance; deals with performance problems as appropriate; delegates work assignments effectively.Assists in managing department budget, implements the specific staffing plan (Acuity) and daily, shift-by-shift staffing grid.Monitors patient acuity/staffing through the bi-weekly productivity report and takes appropriate action.Provides safe environment for patients and caregivers, compliant to EOC rules and all regulatory requirements.Infection Control:Manages and monitors the Infection Control Program in accordance with Infection Control regulations and plan.Oversees adherence to standards of practice, protocols, and procedures, maintenance of and coordination of services with other units and agencies related to Infection Control. Advises leadership by interpreting changes in county, state or federal regulations relating to Infection Control requirements.Experience: Five (5) years of infection control management in an acute care setting, or in a lead or supervisory role. Licensure: RN and Preferred Certification by the National Board of Infection Control (CIC).Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN Preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona or compact state.
