IPC is seeking Adult Nurse Practitioners for our Tucson, AZ practice.

Nurse Practitioner Role Responsible primarily to provide medicine backup at Palo Verde Hospital (behavioral health hospital) as well as doing H&Ps on all new admissions, provide follow-up care and consultations for individuals with medical needs beyond their mental health diagnosis, i.e. diabetes etc. This individual will also rotate and provide back up care at Rehab Institute of Tucson (where IPC assists the physiatrists with medicine issues) and backup care at Kindred and Cornerstone Hospitals (both are Long Term Acute Hospitals with medically complex patients).

Manages and supervises staff and administration of GI Laboratory. Supervises care and treatment of patients, ensuring that accurate tests are performed and reported promptly to patients physician.Manages staff; interviews, hires and trains; evaluates employee performance; deals with performance problems as appropriate; delegates work assignments effectively.Assists in managing department budget.Adheres to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards. Performs related duties as assigned Bachelors degree in nursing.Five (5) years of clinical experience with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory/management role. Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona or Compact State. Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (S.G.N.A.) certification
