Qualifications: Current CA RN license and AHA BLS Certification. One (1)-year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent experience in Critical Care or completion of a Kaiser Permanente (KP) or equivalent Critical Care course within prior 12 months. Current ACLS card required. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente´s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements(if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente´s policies and procedures. This internship is for RNs with at least a year of hospital nursing experience wishing to change specialties. It will begin Feb. 1, 2010. There is a one year work agreement associated with the internship which will begin upon completion of internship program.The ICU/CCU RN manages the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
