Serves as the primary coordinator for the interdisciplinary team, including: physicians, nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, financial analysts, case managers, and support staff. Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational programs/projects for patients, personnel, and the community. Collects/documents data to meet clinical, financial, and regulatory requirements. Participates in the development of guidelines, protocols, pathways, and other performance improvement activities. Participates in research activities. Serves as a patient advocate throughout the transplant process. Represents the Medical Center at regional and national meetings/conferences. The Clinical Program Coordinator provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patient with diverse cultural backgrounds. Education and Work Experience Preferences: Requirements include a current CA RN license, BLS, BSN and 5 years acute RN experience to include a minimum of 2 years recent experience in hematological/oncological malignancies, including bone marrow/stem cell transplant experience. One year of management experience is preferred.
