Job Category: NursingJob Specialty: OutpatientPosition Type: Regular-F/TShift Length: 8hrHours: 8am - 4:30pm Days: Monday - FridayShift Type: DayWeekends: None Job Description: Cedars-Sinai Medical Centers Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Department has an immediate opening for a Clinical Program Coordinator, RN who will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all aspects of care for BMT transplant patients throughout the continuum of services from initial referral to follow-up care. Serves as the primary coordinator for the interdisciplinary team, including: physicians, nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, financial analysts, case managers, and support staff. Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational programs/projects for patients, personnel, and the community. Collects/documents data to meet clinical, financial, and regulatory requirements. Participates in the development of guidelines, protocols, pathways, and other performance improvement activities. Participates in research activities. Serves as a patient advocate throughout the transplant process. Represents the Medical Center at regional and national meetings/conferences. The Clinical Program Coordinator provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patient with diverse cultural backgrounds. Education and Work Experience Preferences: Requirements include a current CA RN license, BLS, BSN and 5 years acute RN experience to include a minimum of 2 years recent experience in hematological/oncological malignancies, including bone marrow/stem cell transplant experience. One year of management experience is preferred.
