Responsible for development and enforcement of policies and procedures that ensure quality patient care. Responsible for ensuring adequate Human Resources are available in areas of responsibility. Responsible for maintaining acceptable turnover in areas of responsibility. Ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for positive employee engagement and appropriate communication with staff. Responsible for quality and performance improvement activities in department and multidisciplinary practices. Adena Health System is seeking two dynamic nurse leaders to join their team. This two hospital non-profit system with 300 beds and gross revenue in excess of $500M is located just 45 miles south of Columbus, OH. Adena has crafted a strategic plan for significant growth and in September 2008 opened the PACCAR Medical Education Center which serves as the home of the Wright State Miami Valley College of Nursing and Healths BSN program. The Nursing Director, Inpatient will have responsibility for five units including three Medical/Surgical units, the Emergency Department and an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.The Nursing Director, Critical Care will have responsibility for the ICU, the Step Down Unit, the Variable Acuity Unit and PIC Services. Both positions will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and have direct supervisory experience over unit Nurse Managers and Assistant Managers. These newly created positions will serve as a leaders and mentors both within their respective departments and throughout the health system.Resource management including recommending an appropriate staffing plan, space management, and selection of outside services when necessary are essential functions of this role.
