Intermountain is recognized as a leading healthcare system and a model for what is right in American medicine.This position will have manager accountabilities and be responsible for the leadership, resource allocation, and safe work environment necessary to promote nursing practice consistent with quality, cost-efficient patient care at a unit level. This role will manage the ICU and will functions dealing with that unit, to include supervision of all patient care within the unit that is provided by numerous disciplines. All nursing personnel working within the unit will report directly to this position. The ICU Nurse Manager is accountable for the leadership, resource allocation, and safe work environment necessary to promote nursing practice consistent with quality, cost-efficient patient care. The Nurse Manager will promote the Intermountain Values of Mutual Respect, Accountability, Trust, and Excellence. Current UT State RN license is required. Must have current BLS for health care professional or higher CPR certification. Bachelor´s Degree in nursing is required, MSN preferred. Minimum 3 years RN experience is required. 3 years ICU experience is highly preferred.5 years supervisory/management experience preferred.Must have the skills to manage multiple direct reports, ability to manage financials, build rapport with medical staff, facilitate change, coach, handle conflict and utilize resources to deliver patient care in an efficient and caring manner (whatever the skill set is). Demonstrated leadership abilities required.Ability to develop unit and integrate staff and efficiently utilize resources .
