Overlake Hospital Medical Center, a 337 bed, nonprofit regional medical center located in Bellevue, Washington (on Lake Washington just outside of Seattle) Center is seeking a hands-on Unit Supervior of Inpatient Surgery to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Clinical Manager of Inpatient Surgery, you will coordinate the effectiveness of staff, manage the therapeutic environment for optimal patient care and lead unit performance and operations. In this high profile role you will provide accountability for the unit while supporting the core values of the organization.Your support team includes; clinical coordinators, administrative assistance, business manager, 2 system analyst, 118+ surgical staff and the Advisory Board H*Works consultants to achieve best-practice performance.On average we do 1200 1400 surgeries a month with services in General Surgery, Orthopedics, CV, Hearts, Neuro, Total Joint, Urology, GYN, Plastics, Eye, ENT and Bariatric, for which we received the Center of Excellence award. There are 15 surgical suites with just over 118+ staff.Pisces EMR is installed and live in Preop, PACU & Anesthesia. It is also installed in surgery, however, will not go live until fall 2009. We will be implementing DaVinci Surgical RoboticsWe are fully staffed from 6:45 am 11:00 pm. From 11:00 pm 6:45 am the OR is staffed with one Registered Nurse and one Surgical Tech with on-call backup.
