SummaryThe purpose of the Director of Quality position is to provide oversight, direction and coordination of the quality improvement, peer review, patient safety, risk management, care management, and regulatory review processes.Key Responsibilities:-> Provides management and direction for the Quality staff in support of the achievement of departmental and organization goals and objectives.-> Supports the entity´s performance improvement program and patient safety culture in part by positioning the Quality Department to be a critical and central element to strategic planning and program development.-> In conjunction with Clinical Effectiveness and entity administration, set short and long term goals for quality improvement, patient safety, and pro-active reduction of risk.-> Coordinating the data collection analysis and reporting processes related to performance improvement, patient safety, and risk reduction to the Board, MEC, Administration, Management and all appropriate staff to facilitate improvements and safety to all key processes.-> Coordinates and facilitates the use of statistical process tools, process improvement and problem solving through Six Sigma methodology for continuous improvement and all care and services provided.-> Coordinate the integration of performance improvement processes with medical staff leadership to review and improve overall patient care outcomes and the peer review process. Qualifications:-> BSN required with CA RN licensure. Masters in Health Management, Business Administration or related field.-> Five years experience or advanced training in health care delivery improvement.-> Three years experience in leadership role, demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate, facilitate, and negotiate effectively with a wide variety of hospital personnel and outside agencies.-> Creative and innovative skill set as it relates to performance improvement design.-> Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for Title 22 and The Joint Commission.-> Computer skills along with statistical and data management skills.
