Intermountain is recognized as a leading healthcare system and a model for what is right in American medicine.The Registered Nurse/CV Invasive Specialist performs duties necessary for catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require frequent independent judgment. Assumes responsibility and initiative for designated areas and procedures as required. Maintains a complete knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic anomalies, and specific treatment options. Has a thorough knowledge of invasive diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and good judgment skills. Anticipates patient status changes related to procedural events and takes immediate, appropriate action in response. Must have current RN licensure or be license eligible. Two years of CV Invasive Training experience required. Current ACLS or PALS and BLS certification. Electrophysiology experience required. Experience with 3D Mapping (Carto, Ensite systems) preferred. Experience with atrial fibrillation ablation is preferred.
