The University of Maryland Family Medicine Associates, P.A. will be opening a new employee and student health practice located at 408 W. Lombard Street March/April 2010. This practice will be staffed by physician faculty and mid level providers. A highly organized family nurse practitioner is needed to staff the practice on a full time basis. Day shifts only 7:30-5:30pm hours; no night duty required.Duties will include:-Oversee the student and employee health program, directing the staff in reviewing student medical documents upon new enrollment and the vaccination programs. -Conduct physical exams as appropriate, using policies, procedures and guidelines, with the emphasis on appropriate treatment and return to work.-Assessment and initiates treatment of urgent injuries and illnesses. -Assessment and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses. -Participate and support health and wellness initiatives, health education and screening programs. Qualified applicants will possess:- a Masters degree with completion of a primary care Nurse Practitioner program- current Maryland NP licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure- 3-5 years practical experience- a minimum of at least 1-2 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in both a primary care office and hospital inpatient care is required (no exceptions!)

Manage and coordinate New Hires, Operations and Medical Administration, Orientation/onboarding and is the primary mentor for new hires within the region. 3.Manage the Clinician Scheduling of regional sites (and coordinated with the other Care Today Clinical Leads as needed to fill openings, and on a rotational basis cover unfilled open shifts). 4.Coordinate with Operations Mid-Level providers PTO, CME, requests for region.5.Develop and manage Chart Audit for all Mid-Level Providers in coordination with Medical Administration at 90 days of new hire and for all others annually.6.Develop and manage rotations to Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Urgent Care of all providers throughout the year.7.Review clinical (quality of care vs. service) complaints after initial evaluation by Medical Director. Give input to Medical Director for follow up with clinician involved.8.Manage through on site coaching and counseling performance issues at regional sites, (either directly for quality concerns or by giving feed back to the Medical Director regarding teamwork/other concerns).9.Supervise and monitor job performance of Care Today Mid-Level Providers.
