St. Jude is dedicated to providing unsurpassed patient care and to advancing the health of children through biomedical research.St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital currently has an opening for a Occupational Health Nurse-Human Resources (Job Number 13497).The Occupational Health Nurse provides occupational health and infection control services to St. Jude employees, including health screening, immunizations, tuberculin skin tests, blood borne pathogen and other screening required to ensure employee safety. Identify and assess the risks from health hazards in the workplace, including surveillance of the factors in the working environment and working practices which may affect employees health. Coordinate Workers Compensation, pre-employment drug testing and employment physical assessments, and ADA programs. Provide advice, information, training and education, on infection control, occupational health, safety and hygiene, work station ergonomics evaluations and personal protective equipment usage. Participate in an on-call schedule for occupational health and infection control.Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and on call.Requirements:* BSN required.* 2 years of nursing experience required.* Occupational health and workers´ compensation experience preferred.* Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.* Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.* Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) credential from the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses, Inc., is required within 4 years of assuming the position.St. Jude offers a positive working culture, professional advancement, & competitive compensation.
