Intermountain is recognized as a leading healthcare system and a model for what is right in American medicine.The Registered Nurse/CV Invasive Specialist performs duties necessary for catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail.  Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require frequent independent judgment.  Assumes responsibility and initiative for designated areas and procedures as required.  Maintains a complete knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic anomalies, and specific treatment options. Has a thorough knowledge of invasive diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and good judgment skills. Anticipates patient status changes related to procedural events and takes immediate, appropriate action in response.  Must have current RN licensure or be license eligible.  Two years of CV Invasive Training experience required. Current ACLS or PALS and BLS certification. Electrophysiology experience required. Experience with 3D Mapping (Carto, Ensite systems) preferred.  Experience with atrial fibrillation ablation is preferred.

Works with Director of Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology Technologist, Cardiovascular Technician, Physicians and other personnel to provide diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Special Procedures and Cardiac Cath Lab and other areas within Diagnostic Imaging as needed. Requirments: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice as an RN in Arizona. Two years recent clinical RN experience in the clinical speciality, preferred. Maryvale Hospital is looking for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our recognized team. The Cath Lab RN requires a dedicated professional who thrives in a cohesive work environment. Our patients benefit from your ability to work as a team and manage multiple tasks that are critical to the successful operation of this unit. The Cath Lab RN provides professional nursing care within the unit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. This dynamic position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. As part of our team, you will be required to function in multiple roles such as scrub, circulator and monitor. •Determine health status and health needs of patients with emphasis on the patient receiving invasive, diagnostic and interventional procedures. •Interpretation of health data, including ECG and hemodynamic monitoring data. •Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures. •Formulate a nursing care plan based on determination of nursing diagnosis / identified problems and age specific / developmental needs. •Implement nursing care within the RN’s scope of practice including but not limited to pacemakers / AICD / PCD, hemodynamic active IV drugs, basic and advance rhythm disturbances.Requirements:Current Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS is required. Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years is required.
