About the Job:The chosen candidate is responsible for the daily management of department activities including staff supervision and development, planning, budget, quality and facility operations and coordinating patient services to ensure high quality patient care and optimal outcomes.Qualifications include:Education/Experience:Must have a Master´s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, plus have five years of Nurse Practitioner clinical experience in a similar specialty area plus one year of progressively responsible supervisory experience ; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certification/Registration/Licensure:Must have current registration or a valid temporary permit with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Must have recognition from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners acknowledging Advanced Practice Nurse status. Must be nationally certified in area of specialty and maintain active certification as a Nurse Practitioner.Skills or Special Abilities:Must demonstrate leadership ability and effective administrative management skills.Neonatal Nurse Practitioner position also available.
