The Employee Health RN is accountable for providing the delivery of excellence of care to Health Care Workers in the following areas but are not limited to the following: pre-employee, volunteer, allied health & fellow/resident health reviews, urine drug screens, testing for cause, tuberculosis screening, immunizations, employee illness, return to work forms, employee injuries, blood & body fluid exposures, exposures to infectious diseases, medical surveillance, noise monitoring, prevention of injuries, research, education, will carry a beeper 24/7 on a rotating basis and respond appropriately, will be an active participant of the Flu Vaccine program and the Benefits Fair, will cross train to all other jobs within the department and be able to professionally perform those functions. Has superior knowledge of all Employee Health Departmental policies as well as pertinent Hospital Policies and appropriately applies those policies to daily practice. Requires a 2 year degree from an accredited school of professional nursing, 3+ years of previous experience and current state licensure. Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and fluent in Word and Excel. RN, occupational health experience, CAOHC or COHN preferred.
