We currently have an opportunity a full-time Registered Nurse who will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Employee Health Program and the Workers Compensation Program in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Support Services, Human Resources Department and Infection Control when indicated and appropriate. Responsibilities will include:-Maintain a program to determine the suitability of all candidates for employment and that they are physically able to perform the duties in the position for which they are assigned and are free from communicable diseases-Provide employees with prophylaxis from communicable disease-Follow up care for work related injuries-Educate personnel regarding the principles of Infection Control in conjunction with the Infection Control Nurse-Coordinate with the Safety Director in the post injury investigation of all injuries and provide data and trending information on injuries-Work with the Safety Management Team in the development of programs that are geared to the proactive prevention of injuries through investigation and remediation of hazards in the workplace. -Provide in-service orientation for new employees and in-services as necessary to other employees related to injury prevention and prevention and control of infections Qualified candidates will possess:-Nevada Registered Nurse License-Graduate Degree from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelors Degree preferred -Four years of health related work experience with a minimum of two years clinical experience -Experience in infectious diseases and workers compensation law and regulation-Familiarity with hazardous materials as they relate to potential injuries and methodology for the prevention of such injuries and exposures-Knowledge in the monitoring and identification of Indoor Air Quality for the prevention of exposure, exposure controls and remediation of IAQ issues-Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relations and utilize effective communications skills-Leadership abilities in planning and implementing Employee Health and Workers´ Compensation Programs-Organizational ability to plan, coordinate, assess data and make appropriate recommendations-Excellent verbal and written communications skills-Knowledge of educational principlesAt Sunrise Health were guided by a simple yet powerful motto, Another Sunrise.
