The Clinical Program Coordinator, RN is responsible for overseeing the department outpatient clinics. Serving as the primary coordinator for the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, management, develops, coordinates, implements and evaluates educational programs and projects for patients, personnel and the community. The coordinator must have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with individuals of various cultural and educational backgrounds. Experience in data management. Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively coordinate all aspects of patient care. Ability to be an active, participatory member of the interdisciplinary team. Supervises nursing staff and assures appropriate staffing and scheduling. Stays current with legislation in relation to our outpatient specialty clinics and current nursing practices. Attends seminars and conferences in relation to our specialty clinics and current nursing practices. Handles case management. Participates in the development of protocols, pathways and other performance improvement activities. Provides education, and training for the nursing staff. Conducts safety audits in our outpatient specialty clinics in accordance with The Joint Commission standards. Provide necessary assistance in the needs of each patient and assist in the planning and delivery of patient care to meet those needs. She/eh after appropriate educational preparation, is capable of expanded scope of practice in the area of the nursing process and intravenous therapy. The Clinical Program Coordinator, RN provides nursing care consistent with the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, the Plan for Provision of Care to Patient, CSMC Code of Conduct, The Performance Improvement Plan and the Patient Educational Plan. He/she maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care for special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. He/she can identify the ability of the patient to follow directions/instructions. He/she can identify safety concerns and institutes additional measures to provide a safe environment and identify developmental milestones.Educational Requirements:RN, BSNLicense/Certification/Registration Requirements:A Valid California RN License, BSN required, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented.Experience:Previous experience in outpatient clinics in the areas of Prenatal Diagnosis, Reproductive Medicine, Urogynecology.Physical Demands:Walking, sitting, lifting, bending.
