She/he consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes her/his knowledge base and exemplary leadership and educational skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. She/he demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within Nursing at the unit, service line and institutional levels. The Clinical Nurse IV provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, the Plan of Care to Patients, CSMC Code of Conduct, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan and Professional Organization Standards. She/he maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. He/she can institute measures to provide a safe environment; and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluations of patients with consideration of developmental milestones. Education and Work Experience Preferences: Educational Requirements:-A valid California Registered Nurse License-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.-Bachelor“s of Science in Nursing required.-Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse required (CRRN).-Minimum of 3 years experience in specialty area preferred.-Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice.-Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of heath care technology within specialty area.-Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.-Full command of the English language (verbal and written).-Meets clinical criteria and protocol for Clinical Nurse IV.Physical Demands:The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions
