Seeking a Consultant - Occupational Health!
This position is required to coordinate the development of occupational medicine programs for Alcoa facilities in North America to assist location in complying with Alcoa and regulatory requirements. This position provides expertise and coordinates the functional requirements necessary to administer and maintain Alcoa Occupational Health Review Team process, occupational health information systems to support data and information requirements to address occupational medicine data needs using continuous improvement and/or quality methodologies - ABS, Six Sigma, TQM, etc.Working as an occupational health consultant in the EHS Services organization requires a unique set of skills to both understand the broad concepts that define occupational health and a good understanding of human behavior with a strong customer orientation. The ability to balance multiple customer needs that may conflict will be an important performance requirement. Key challenges are: - Develop occupational health programs for plant locations. - Coordinate the occupational health review team process using ABS, Six Sigma or TQM principles. - Coordinate the functional requirements for the Occupational Health Management system. - Provide expertise on occupational health training and specific health issues - Advise plants on regulatory compliance issues Basic Qualifications: -Degree in Nursing-License to practice nursing-Board certification in occupational health nursing from AAOHN-5 years of related working experience-Strong interpersonal / communication skillsMinimum Years of Experience: 5Minimum Education Required: BachelorsTravel Requirements: 25-50%Preferred Qualifications: Master Degree in Nursing6-8 years experience
