With 2,300 employees and 239 staffed beds, Mercy provides inpatient and outpatient services to nearly 140,000 patients each year. It shares its nearly 842-physician medical staff with Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minn.Responsibilities:Detect, investigate and report nosocomial infections based on targeted surveillance. Analyze data using statistical and epidemiological principles to evaluate trends and / or clusters. Data will be benchmarked. Conclusions, actions and / or recommendations will be determined, as appropriate. Serves as a resource by providing information needed by hospital staff for managing infection control risks and implementing infection control measures. Present formal and informal infection control education.Qualifications:AD, BA, BS, Current RN licensure and / or infection control certification preferred, clinical laboratory scientist certification helpful. 3 - 5 years infection control experience, clinical experience preferred, medical technology and microbiology experience helpful.Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule:40 hours per week Days and ability to alternate carrying a pager for off hoursWe have a place for you at Allina Hospitals & Clinics.
