Our ED nurses are decisive, confident and accustomed to a very fast-paced emergency department environment.Our largest hospital, Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, is a Level I trauma center, and the Emergency Department there recently underwent a $53 million expansion, tripling its size to 78,000 square feet. Baylor Grapevine’s ED also is newly expanded to 23,300 square feet, and some other EDs around the system are growing as well. Baylor Garland is the third busiest ED in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In 2007, there were 278,570 visits to emergency rooms throughout the Baylor system. Emergency services are available at our system hospitals in Dallas, Fort Worth, Garland, Grapevine, Irving, Plano and Waxahachie.
