Exciting opportunity for a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide services to adults with dual diagnosis of developmental and psychiatric disabilities.
Bridgewell a private, non-profit organization providing services to individuals with disabilities and mental illness throughout Northeastern Massachusetts is seeking a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, APRN to join our outpatient Mental Health Clinic team for our Danvers and Lowell clinics. This is a 35 hour a week benefits eligible position that requires three days in the Danvers clinic location and two days in the Lowell clinic location.Summary: Provide diagnostic medication assessments and ongoing medication management services to individuals with psychiatric and developmental disabilities in an outpatient setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: 1. Complete diagnostic intakes, treatment plans and notes, goals and objectives. 2. Prescribe medication under the supervision of the Medical Director/Psychiatrist. 3. Assess and review medication regimen with patient, guardian(s), team members and other care providers/advocates.4. Provide medication monitoring for referral to MD for follow up and consultation.5. Provide medical assistance and assessment on a consultative and emergency basis. 6. Process clinical inquiries, i.e. prescription renewals, laboratory requests. 7. Provide individual and family case consultation. 8. Maintain client records according to regulatory standards. 9. Attend and participate in assigned case conferences, treatment planning meetings and utilization review. 10. Attend scheduled clinical team meetings. 11. Provide in-service trainings. 12. Comply with all applicable nursing protocols, regulations and licensing standards. 13. On-call responsibilities as assigned. 14. Facilitate referrals to other agencies/vendors when appropriate. 15. Other duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience: 1. Must be currently registered by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing 2. Must have a masters degree in nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school.3. Must have two years of full-time supervised clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting.4. Specialty or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities 5. Candidate must have a Federal DEA number (drug enforcement administration) and a MA prescriber registration number for prescribing privileges.
