Shift Length: 12hrHours: 7am - 7pm Days: Departmental ScheduleShift Type: DayWeekends: Every Other Job Description: Cedars-Sinai Health System has an opening for a Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse (Charge Nurse) on the Neuro Unit. The Clinical Nurse IV, as an expert professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the expert application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. Consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes his/her knowledge base and exemplary leadership and educational skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. Demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within nursing at the unit, service line and institutional levels. Provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for provision of Care to Patients, CSMC Code of conduct, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Educational Plan and Professional Organizational Standards. He/she maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care top special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. Can institute measures to provide a safe environment, and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones. Education and Work Experience Preferences: License/Certification/Registration Requirements:Valid California Registered nurse license. Nine months or more acute care experience required. BLS certified.Experience:Acute Med/Surg experience preferedLicense/Certification/Registration Requirements:Valid California Registered nurse license.
