NICU Clinical Manager needed in Chester County Pennsylvania!
RN Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)Schedule: Primarily Monday through FridayShift: Primarily Day Hours: 7:00AM to 4:30PM (72 hours bi-weekly)Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a 12-bed unit level III as a joint program with The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. Intensive life support techniques, i.e. mechanical ventilation. Intermediate and routine care for medical problems experienced by newborns. Care may include resuscitation, cardiopulmonary and hemodynamic monitoring, thermoregulatory and nutritional support. Premature infants and newborns that require continuous cardiac monitoring, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, respiratory thermoregulatory, nutritional support and intravenous monitoring are admitted directly or from surrounding hospitals. The guidelines for practice are based upon AWHONN guidelines and Guidelines for Perinatal Care (AAP/ACOG).GENERAL SUMMARY STATEMENTProvides a consistently high quality of direct patient care in a customer service oriented, cost effective environment. Facilitates activities and projects that promote and evaluate standards of practice. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of The Chester County Hospital. Works in collaboration with the Nursing Service Director.EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURECurrent PA RN license. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with BSN. Minimum of five (5) years experience in the specialty including Level III NICU experience. Specialty certification, NRP and CPR certification required. Proven leadership and organizational skills. Supervisory/Management experience preferred but not required. Must participate in yearly competency-based program.SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTSExcellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to identify problems and resolve them using a systems approach. Ability to utilize Hospital approved equipment. Available to be a strong resource person. Meets and exceeds all performance standards for a staff nurse.
