The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is looking for a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to be the Ambulatory Clinical Coordinator. The role will be to supervise direct patient care in the clinical setting and indirect patient care via telephone and electronic communication. Orthopaedics has an active telecommunication center. This individual will need to be a skilled clinician as well as have strong administrative/leadership skills, and will work with the ambulatory orthopaedic teams in managing their subspecialty care. Our orthopaedics teams consist of MDs, mid-level providers, RNs, clinical assistants and administrative support. As part of the management team responsibilities include initiating educational programs, effectively managing employees, serving as liaison to hospital surgical programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing daily clinical and administrative operations of the Orthopaedic Clinics. Full time position, 40 hours, M-F 8 hours. Orthopaedic Nursing/management experience required; Must possess excellent communication skills, be organized and self-directed, and able to lead as well as well as participate in a team environment
