PURPOSE: Under general supervision, plan, organize and direct nursing staff in a community health center.DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:Oversee and manage assigned staff, including establishing work assignments and priorities in relationship to nursing services available. Direct and coordinate the work of assigned nursing and support personnel to provide patient care in assigned clinics. Assist in planning educational programs for nurses and other clinical staff to meet the needs of the department.Respond to patient complaints.Respond to inquiries concerning clinic information and/or inquiries on policies and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited school of nursing plus four years of nursing experience in a clinical nursing setting, ambulatory care or in a hospital. One year must be in a lead or supervisory capacity. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:License to practice in the State of Texas. Must have current healthcare CPR course completion card and will be required to keep it current during employment. Must successfully complete a Medication Examination prior to interview.
