An assignment now exists on the Countys MAP team for: NURSING ASSISTANT Per Diem$12.26 Hourly Working in a per diem employment capacity, the Nursing Assistant will assist professional nursing staff or other medical therapists in providing basic care and treatment to physically and mentally ill patients. Nursing Assistant - Per Diem hospital and clinic assignments are flexibly scheduled or on an on-call basis and receive additional compensation in lieu of Riverside Countys fringe benefits. Duties include giving basic bedside nursing care to assure comfort and cleanliness of patients, as well as assisting with medical procedures. This assignment requires either six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a recognized training program in basic patient care. The ability to perform bedside nursing care in an understanding and sympathetic manner is essential. An assignment now exists on the Countys MAP team for: CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT Temporary$9.75 HourlyCertified Medical Assistants will assist licensed medical staff in a clinical setting by providing various client/patient services. Front office duties include greeting/registering patients, assisting them with completion of necessary paperwork, gathering basic health related information, maintaining medical charts and providing basic administrative/clerical support. Back office duties include preparing patients for examination, assist with collection of non-invasive specimens, collecting/recording patient data and performing routine clinical procedures in support of Physicians, RNs and other authorized medical staff.This position requires a minimum of six months experience performing basic administrative or clinical duties, preferably in a physician/dental office, hospital or health center. The qualified applicant will have a high school diploma or equivalent with a valid Medical Assistant certificate in basic administrative or clinical professional specialties from a school recognized by the American Association of Medical Assistants or American Society for Medical Technology. A valid certification in Phlebotomy and Basic Cardiac Life Support/Cardio-Respiratory Resuscitation (BCLS/CPR) is required. Excellent administrative, organizational and verbal/written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to maintain good relations with a wide range of social, ethnic and professional groups.
