Overview: To render professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of the patients.Responsibilities: -Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.-Directs and guides patient teaching, activities of Patient Care Tech & ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.-Organizes time, supplies, and equipment efficiently and effectively.-Participates in professional organizations and activities which promote growth and development.-Assist with Epidural placement Qualifications: -Graduate of accredited school of nursing.-Current Georgia license to practice as a registered nurse.-Minimum of 3 years L&D/APU experience-Previous experience at a Level III facility (preferably non-teaching) mandatory-Current BLS, NPR, ACLS certifications-Advance or Intermediate Fetal Monitor Course within the last 2 years-Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics and/or Electronic Fetal monitoring Preferred but not required-PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Surgical patient recovery experience -Initial Newborn Care (Apgar scoring/medication)-Circulate Surgical Cases-Sterile vaginal Exams-Placement of Internal Scalp Electrode-IV Therapy (phlebotomy)-Antepartum/High Risk Intrapartum
