An allied health care professional who analyzes and reprograms various brands of pacemaker and defibrillators. Provides analysis of heart rhythms on the telephone and on holtor and event scanner. Functions independently as the charge person for the area to ensure provision of quality care. Classifies assigned patients according to defined criteria and validates classification for colleagues. Communicates patients and staffs needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written communications.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Graduate of allied health school including nursing, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, biomedical engineering. Two years of independent cardiac device (pacemakers and/ defibrillators) follow-up, analysis and reprogramming experience or IBHRE certification. Candidate must successfully complete pacing / rhythm knowledge pre-test prior to hire.
