Tenure-track position. Francis Marion University seeks a Professor/Associate Professor of Nursing to serve as Chair of its Department of Nursing.
The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who will teach in the nursing program and manage all aspects of the department, including faculty recruitment and evaluation, curriculum development, instructional activity, scholarly productivity, facilities, departmental resources, and accreditation. The Chair will mentor, guide, and support the faculty in the Nursing Department.FMU Requirements: Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; previous experience in teaching and academic administration; record of professional, community and university service; record of scholarship appropriate for appointment to the rank of professor or associate professor; effective organizational and interpersonal skills.The FMU Department of Nursing offers a generic baccalaureate program in nursing and the RN to BSN option. A Nurse Practitioner graduate program is being planned. The successful candidate will possess the credentials and qualifications to become a licensed registered nurse in South Carolina.
